As reported here before the oembed input has been broken unless a setting was updated. The service we used to parse urls into an oembed response shifted to preferring HTTPS, while the url was set up as HTTP.
The new 1.1.1 release which is now available resolves that issue by automatically fixing the setting on upgrade, and new installs are set up correctly from the get go.
