Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses essential cookies for managing sessions and functional cookies to improve your experience.

We also use third party services including Google Analytics for analytics, which may set cookies of their own with a unique (anonymous) identifier and data they collect. When visiting specific parts of the site, additional information about what you're doing on the site (e.g. placing an order with a value of X Euro) may be provided to Google Analytics. Additionally, social functionality such as Facebook and Twitter widgets may set cookies and use your user session with them to tailor the experience.

We also use a self-hosted instance of Piwik for website analytics. We do not identify individual users or combine personally identifiable information in our system with data tracked by Piwik, however we do segment users into logical groups, for example by splitting up logged in and anonymous users into separate groups.

We also using Hotjar for analysing in more depth how people use our website. This tool provides us incredibly specific information that we can use for both short term improvements to the user experience, but can also advise future iterations of our website. Hotjar tracks mouse movements, keyboard strokes and general environment information for an evenly distributed sample of users. We do not have control over how this sample is selected, though we do provide Hotjar with a list of specific pages for the purpose of generating heatmaps that may affect the chance of a session being recorded. Information collected by Hotjar is not augmented with personal information on purpose, however when reviewing specific sessions it may be possible to identify a specific user if they are logged in.

If you do not wish for us to collect information using one or more of the mentioned tools you may use tools such as Ghostery to block those tools. Our website will continue to work even if those tools are blocked and we wont blame you for keeping tabs on your privacy.

When you purchase items, the affiliate is not able of seeing what you purchased or any personal information about you, however they will be notified (and can review in their Affiliate section) that they received an affiliate transaction. As the transaction makes up a percentage of your purchase, they might be able of deciphering what was purchased by its price.
